2 weeks from today I’m going to walk down the aisle and marry the man I met 10 years ago at a college party. He’s the man I’ve made my life with and who’s accompanied me on so many adventures big, small, good and some not so good. He’s the man I bought a house with and the man who moved away from home to be with me. He’s the man who loved me even when I didn’t deserve it, who makes me laugh harder than anyone and keeps me grounded. He’s the man who works so hard to provide a good life for us yes, but mostly for me. He’s the man I can’t wait to have children with someday so I can tell them all about how lucky they are to have a Daddy just like him. We’re a team, you and me Mr. Scott. I’m thankful for you each and every day. Love, your soon to be wife. :)
Last night Richard and I had the best night. We didn’t do anything special, in fact I was in my pajamas but it was one of the most fun nights I’ve had in a while. We sat on our back patio and I drank Pinot Grigio and he drank his Canadian Mist and we talked and talked and talked. About work, about growing up, about changing together, about our future kids, about our families and so much more. It was so nice to just sit down and connect like that. We don’t get to do that often enough and it made me realize how important it is. I made Richard promise that last night was one of the nights we’ll have more often. I’m already excited for the next one.
